About the Author: New York City Trip

Greetings all, I know I have not posted in a little while and it is for the reason above. On a last minute notion, my fiancée and I decided to take a trip to New York City for our five year dating anniversary. She had only been in Times Square and myself I had never been in the city ever. Our primary reason for going was to see the musical Wicked which was super extraordinarily fantastic, but while we were there we did a few other events after our survival of driving in the city. First, she showed me around Times Square as we visited the Disney store, M&M store, one of the many I love New York stores, and ate pizza at Sbarro which was delectably delightful. Soon after we went to a magic show at the LOL Comedy Club where yours truly got pulled onto the stage while being heckled by their significant other (All in good fun you know and made me smile). After a few hours of wonder and laughter, we headed back to the hotel after briefly visiting Central Park, but not before I got to have a slice of cheesecake and an uniquely made eclair. Before drifting to sleep, I listened to the constant hustle and bustle of the city that never sleeps.

The next day came as we got lost in the city at plenty of turns on our way for a boat tour of New York City and the neighboring New Jersey shore. We were given interesting facts of the many sights of New York City which included but not limited to the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Chrysler Building, World Financial Center, Brooklyn Bridge, and some of the many burrows of the Big Apple. I do believe it made both of us crave to come back again and explore the other parts of this large city. Once we had landed ashore once again, we found ourselves hungry. On the way to our main destination we stopped at a diner. To both of our surprise, we were unable to finish our lunches from the filling and tasty meal. With bellies very happy, we continued on our journey and stopped at Madame Tussauds. For those of you who do not know what this is (and neither did I at the time), it is a wax museum made of famous people. I will tell you what made it interesting was actually seeing and comparing the dimensions of height of people. For example, in my head I always thought they made John Wayne bigger on television by putting the camera at just the right angle. However, he really was quite a tall fellow. Another fun part was the 4D theater featuring a Marvel adventure, which is worth the extra money in the ticket to attend. Once we exited through the one way museum, we headed for one of our planned stops, Nintendo New York. Keeping our best not to spend too much money on items we headed out and explored some parts around. We found ourselves overlooking an ice rink when something caught our eyes. The LEGO store was just across the store. Why be so excited about this? Well, it is for the stuff the LEGO creators have built for display. There was the full Hogwarts Castle, a dragon that curled around the entire store, the Millennium Falcon, and a replica of the place around them with wacky characters from a broad area of stories.

After taking a gander at creations, we grew a little hungry as we each grabbed a pretzel from a food cart. As we sat, we people watched as many people came and went across the side walk. Once we had both finished, it was finally time for the main event. We strolled down to the Gershwin Theatre and grabbed our tickets to see Wicked, our course not without grabbing some merchandise. The show was absolutely thrilling and kept us thoroughly entertained at every turn. On our way back to our hotel, my betrothed wished that we could see all the Broadway shows, and I could not have agreed more. It was simply the best part of the whole trip. Both of us agreed that we will be seeing many more of these shows in the future. Finally, our mini-vacation came to a close as we came home today right before my other half had to go to work. It was a great trip and I look forward to returning back there. So there you have it, my reason to why I have not been on and posting lately. I should have more time to post next week as we continue to look at the world of Magitotum, you might just find in future books some New York City influences in the pages.
